This page is placeholder copy for the wind-down / data-portability section only (docs/PLAN.md §4.3). Every other standard Terms of Service section below is an explicit placeholder, not drafted. No section of this page is approved for publication until legal counsel has reviewed and signed off.
A brand-new company promising your links will resolve forever has to earn that promise from a position of weakness — we might not outlive your link. So we make it a contractual commitment, not a slogan.
Minimum notice window: if we decide to shut down SnapLynks, we will notify every account holder at least 90 days before service ends.
Full export: before shutdown, every account holder can export a complete, machine-readable mapping of every one of their short codes to its current destination — the entire redirect table behind their account, not a partial summary.
Redirect-forwarding handoff: where feasible, we will keep the redirect layer itself resolving — forwarding to a destination or successor of your choosing — for the duration of the notice window above, so an already-printed code has time to be reprinted rather than dying the moment we close.
This is the concrete, contractual half of our permanence pledge — see the Permanence Guarantee for the billing-lapse half, and our open-source, self-hostable redirect core (published separately) for the technical half.
The sections below are standard Terms of Service topics that have NOT been drafted yet — they are listed here as an honest map of what a complete ToS will cover, not as binding terms. They are placeholder headings only, pending a full counsel-drafted pass.
